When you hear the word mindfulness what comes to mind?
In our culture many of us want quick answers and don’t recognize that being mindful means just sitting in the present whether it’s a positive, negative, or a neutral experience which most of the time does not require an immediate answer. Ultimately it will save you more time, make better decisions, create less stress and result in better outcomes.
It’s starting with our own self-awareness of our thoughts, feeling and emotions and getting comfortable with that before we begin to go outside of ourselves and develop more awareness on aspects outside of oneself.
This pause and reflection give us a superpower that science has validated leads to success however we personally define it.
I found this article in @Forbes did a great job articulating what mindfulness is not and how beneficial the training is for individuals and organizations.
Thanks Forbes and all the providers that are working to make a more peaceful and productive community.
